Performance

What’s new for 2025? The latest Altima comes with a massive 2.5L 4-cylinder engine capable of 188 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. That’s well more than the Civic (which starts at 158 HP). If you’re looking to treat yourself to some more fun, the 2.0L VC-Turbo upgrade will get you up to 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. The Altima is built with Nissan’s iconic CVT system, but add the available sport suspension and you’ve got yourself a force to be reckoned with! And we’re happy to say that even if you go with the AWD model, you’ll still receive excellent mileage at 34 combined. It seems like no matter which Altima you choose, it’s an automatic win.

Turning the spotlight to the new 2025 Honda Accord, you’ll see that the standard engine isn’t too shabby. It’s rather small, but the 1.5L Turbo puts out 192 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque.
