Overview
With its bold exterior styling and comfy cabin, the Nissan Murano is a crowd-pleaser. All models of the Murano come with the same 3.5-liter V-6 engine and transmission, as well as either front- or all-wheel drive.
Four adults will find plenty of legroom to stretch out in the Murano, and with its soft-riding chassis, passengers and driver alike will ride in comfort.
What’s New For 2021?
Nissan has upped the Murano’s safety profile by making driver-assistance features standard across the entire range. These features, called Safety Shield 360, include:
- Automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection
- Rear automated emergency braking
- Blind-spot monitoring
- Lane-departure warning
- Automatic high-beams
New for 2021 is also the Special Edition package, which includes faux-leather upholstery, heated front seats, 20-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, and a 360-degree exterior camera system.
If you want to all-wheel drive, this can be added for an extra $1550.
Models
You can purchase the Nissan Murano in the following models and MSRP:
Vehicle Type: Front-engine, 4-door hatchback
S Model at $33,000
SV Model at $36,375
SL Model at $ 41,105
Platinum Model at $45,155
Now, let’s take a look at some of the Nissan Murano’s specs and features:
Engine, Transmission, & Performance
Under the hood of all Murano models, you will find a 3.5-liter V-6 engine, which gives the vehicle 260 horsepower. While front-wheel drive is standard among models, all-wheel drive can be added to any model, and both utilize a CVT ( continuously automatic) transmission.
Enjoy peaceful long-distance highway trips with suspension tuned for comfort. The Murano glides over even the roughest of potholes, and the steering delivers amazing highway stability.
The Murano is also rated to tow up to 1500 pounds.
Fuel Economy & MPG
The Murano will earn an estimated 20 mpg in the city, and 28 mpg on the highway. The best part? The addition of all-wheel drive won’t diminish city or highway mpg.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
The Murano boasts one of the nicest, most well-equipped interiors on the market. The Platinum model has soft leather seats, door panels, and armrests, with a beautiful dashboard design that is divided by a band of luxe teakwood trim.
With a seating capacity of five, the Murano is all about comfort! The front seats are heavily cushioned, and the rear bench seat has plentiful padding and reclines for ultimate relaxation.
The Murano’s glove box is large enough to hold everything you need, including a first aid kit, road gear, and vehicle essentials, while the cargo bay can hold all the suitcases, groceries, or sports gear that you will ever need to bring along on the road!
Infotainment & Connectivity
All models in the Murano range feature an 8.0-inch color touchscreen display to run Nissan’s NissanConnect. This infotainment system includes navigation, Apple CarPlay. Android Auto, SiriusXM, and Travel Link for all your weather and traffic updates.
If you need to charge your phone anywhere in the vehicle, the Murano also has USB-A and USB-C ports.
Nissan Murano Warranty
The Murano has a limited warranty that covers for 3 years or 36,000 miles. The powertrain warranty covers 5 years or 60,000 miles.
