Murano Trim Levels

Nissan offers the 2023 Murano in four distinct trim levels, but all come with the same 260-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Let’s look at what is in store for each of the trims:

Nissan Murano S

Starting off, the entry-level Murano S is no less stylish than its more expensive counterparts. It is big on safety, with features that go beyond the federally mandated requirements, such as front knee and rear-seat side-impact airbags.

Safety

It comes equipped with Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 technology which includes:

  • Forward collision warning
  • Automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection
  • Lane departure warning with correction assist
  • A blind spot monitor
  • Rear cross-traffic detection with braking
  • A rearview monitor
  • Automatic high-beam headlights

Plus, there’s another system that reminds the driver to check the rear seat before leaving the vehicle. Nice!

_Interior & Exterior _

A quick look at the exterior of the Murano S reveals 18-inch alloy wheels, a rear wiper/washer, automatic on/off LED headlights, and rear privacy glass. It also comes equipped with roof rails and Nissan’s Intelligent Key keyless entry that senses when the key fob is near and allows you to unlock the doors by touching the handle.

Looking inside, the Murano S has a modern interior with abundant soft-touch surfaces and beautiful contrasting colors. There aren’t touch controls for every function, and the vehicle retains a healthy mix of rotary knobs and hard buttons instead.

The S doesn’t have fancy upgrades, so you will find manually operated front seats that are covered in soft cloth upholstery. A 60-40 rear seat has reclining seatbacks that can lower using cargo area release levers.

Other amenities include:

  • A tilt/telescoping steering wheel
  • Dual-zone automatic climate control
  • Rear seat air vents
  • A push button start
  • One-touch up and down front power windows
  • Automatic high-beam headlights which automatically dim headlights when detecting approaching lights
  • CD player: people who still enjoy CDs will love this feature!

Infotainment

The infotainment system consists of an 8-inch touchscreen, a 6-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Siri Eyes Free, and SiriusXM satellite radio.

The system even allows voice activation to find music or with the hands-free text messaging assistant. It also includes two USB-A, two USB-C ports, and an auxiliary input jack.

Nissan Murano SV

The 2023 Murano SV has everything that the S offers but adds adaptive cruise control, front parking sensors, LED fog lights, heated side mirrors, and remote engine start with Intelligent Climate control that sets the interior’s temperature to a comfortable 72 degrees.

It also adds:

  • A 10-way power driver’s seat with 2-way power lumbar support
  • A 4-way power front passenger seat
  • Heated front seats
  • Leatherette upholstery
  • Leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob

The 2023 Murano SV is also offered in the Midnight Edition package that adds a black grille, black mirror caps, black badges, illuminated kick plates, and gloss black 20-inch alloy wheels.

Nissan Murano SL

The SL moves the Murano into a more luxurious space, opening the door to more high-tech features and amenities.

Adding to the SV’s equipment, the SL has a 360-degree Around View Monitor, traffic sign recognition, 20-inch machine-finished alloy wheels, and a motion-activated liftgate.

The SL also has genuine leather seats that are upgraded with rear outboard seats and 2-position memory for the driver’s seats. A heated steering wheel also comes standard.

The luxury continues with adjustable interior ambient lighting that allows you to set the mood, while built-in navigation guides you without the need for a cell signal. Let’s now forget about the audio system! In the SL you’ll get an 11-speaker Bose audio system with dual-powered subwoofers.

Nissan Murano Platinum

The 2023 Murano Platinum trim adds every feature in the Murano arsenal, with the only additions being satin-black 20-inch wheels, semi-aniline leather-appointed seats with diamond-quilted inserts and illuminated kick plates.

This is the ultimate luxury SUV in the Nissan lineup!
