2025 Nissan Murano Platinum Features & Test Drive

Performance Specs

Before we dive into some of our favorite features, we want to share about what you can expect performance-wise from a Murano Platinum. It comes equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that replaces a 3.5 L V6 engine and is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and front wheel drive.

This pairing creates 241 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque and is a great choice for people who prefer better fuel economy in a crossover SUV. And though this year’s Murano has a slightly lower number for horsepower than its predecessor, its increased torque gives this SUV oomph to get up and go when needed, such as when merging onto a highway.

It is estimated that the 2025 Murano can go from 0-60 mph in about 8-8.3 seconds.

Interior

The interior in the Platinum trim showcases the luxuriousness of the Murano. The seats are upholstered in semi-aniline leather. Plus, the front seats have a massage function. Nice!

And, comfortable seats aren’t just for the front seats, the second row is just as comfortable. Nissan has changed the seatbacks to be slightly thinner, which improves the rear legroom. This makes the second row that much more comfortable for children and adults alike.

Technology Features

On the dash, you’ll find a pair of 12.3-inch color screens, one for infotainment and the other is the gauge cluster. On the Platinum, you will get Google-based infotainment software, as well as in-dash navigation. All trim levels, including the Platinum, come with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Other features include:

• Active sound cancellation
• Wireless smartphone charging
• SiriusXM satellite radio
• Four USB-C ports
• 10-speaker Bose stereo
• Amazon Alexa voice assistant
• In-car wi-fi hotspot

All models also come with a power liftgate.

Safety Features

Nissan equips all of its vehicles with a suite of driver assistance features. The best part? They come standard with no need to upgrade! These features include:

• Lane departure warning with lane-keeping assist
• Adaptive cruise control
• Blind-spot monitoring
• Automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection

Plus, the Platinum trim gets the more advanced version of Nissan’s ProPilot, which allows drivers to drive hands-free.
