Go Go Godzilla! Nissan has done it again. The Infamous Nissan GT-R is back for 2024!

Although it has undergone a recent update, the Nissan GT-R is essentially the same R-35 generation Coupe that emerged 15 years ago, quickly earning the name “Godzilla” for its awesome power and its reputation on the street.

In 2024 we see the return of the mid-tier T-Spec model which sits between the Premium and Nismo Models. Although the T-Spec model has marginally less horsepower, weighing in at 565 Horsepower, compared to the Nismo model’s 600 Horsepower, high-performance accessories are not in short supply.

  • Adjustable Bilstein Dampers
  • Brembo Brake Calipers
  • Carbon Ceramic Rotors
  • Dual-Clutch Transmission

The outward appearance of the T-Spec is incredible, and the 3.8 Liter Twin Turbo V-6 engine delivers mind-melting acceleration for yourself and up to three passengers.

If you have waited to pull the trigger on this iconic sports car, keep in mind that it is unknown how long the GT-R will remain in production, leaving current buyers with a golden opportunity to own this legendary monster before the market shifts toward all-electric vehicles.

What’s New

A new swan-neck spoiler has been added to the 2024 GT-R, borrowing from the Porsche 911 GT3. Additionally, Nissan has increased the overall downforce while keeping the drag coefficient the same, improving on a nearly perfect aerodynamic design.

Also new for 2024 are a limited-slip front differential and a carbon fiber appearance package.

Finally, Nissan has introduced a new color to its pallet with “Stealth Grey” as well as bringing back heritage colors such as “Midnight Purple” and “Millennium Jade.”

Exterior

Nissan has managed to redesign the timeless GT-R flawlessly, preserving the classic distinguishing elements that make this supercar unmistakable while improving some subtle details that make this the most exciting GT-R yet.

In 2024 the front grill saw a slight modification which elevated the profile of the grill diffuser as well as squared off the leading edge of the bumper with attractive angles that complement the headlight projectors.

Two small arrays of hexagon-shaped LED road lighting have been keenly added to each side of the bumper, further complementing the angles on the front of the vehicle.

Extra-large air intakes are present on each side, providing much-needed cooling to braking components.

Flared front fenders with rear vents provide an aerodynamic advantage while creating a perfect stance.

The 2024 GT-R has blacked-out C pillars leading up to the roofline, a detail that pairs well with carbon fiber trim. The rear sloped roofline continues to meet a swan neck spoiler, and it looks great.

The Iconic round taillights and GT-R badge are preserved with only slight changes, making the supercar instantly recognizable. Nissan, yet again, has produced another exciting rendition of this classic supercar.

Interior

Moving into the interior you will be delighted to see that the overall design is a throwback in design with some modern twists that fans of the late models of the GT-R will love. The door panels feature a grip that is a throwback to 90’s design, with carpet on the bottom, a small cubby door pocket, and leather with contrasting stitching on the top. Sometimes to go forward the way is back…

Onward to the dash and gauges, Nissan stuck with analog gauges on the driver’s panel but also opted for a driver indicator panel on the GT-R’s digital display panel. Fans of the wildly popular driving simulator “Gran Turismo” may notice that the indicator displays share a designer and appear just as they do in the video game. The interior continues to impress with its quality stitched leather from the dash to the emergency brake lever!

Again, if you’ve been dreaming of this car, now may be the time to give it a test drive!
