New Changes in 2022 to Nissan’s Cars and Trucks

For 2022, Nissan’s lineup of cars is getting some great upgrades! From the new Z sports car to tried and true standards like the Sentra, Altima, and Maxima, there are a lot of changes to be excited about in the coming year.

What’s New for 2022

While some vehicles get more changes than others for 2022, it will be an exciting year!

Nissan Versa

The Versa was re-designed in 2020, and it has not been updated since. Now that it is in its third generation, the Versa offers a more attractive exterior, more power, and the added benefit of plenty of standard driving assistance tech. It is the least costly way to become part of the Nissan family, but there will be no major changes for the 2022 Versa.

Bottom line: The 2022 Versa is an economy car that looks sleek and modern and comes with ample standard safety tech. What’s not to love?!

Nissan Sentra

For 2022, Nissan is offering new ways for buyers to option and accessorize their Sentra. The Sentra SV will offer an available All-Weather package with features like LED headlights and foglights, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.

The Sentra SR adds the available Midnight Edition package and will come equipped with black wheels, grille, badges, and other dark midnight-inspired embellishments.

Bottom line: The 2022 Sentra offers an improved interior and exterior design and an enjoyable drive whether you are going on a road trip or to and from work.

Nissan Altima

Like the 2022 Sentra, the Altima receives an expansion to its optional equipment and accessories for 2022. Look for heated side mirrors with integrated LED turn signals in the Altima SV Premium package and the Midnight Edition option is added for the Altima SR.

Bottom line: If you are in the market for a sporty mid-size sedan with a premium interior, cushy seats, and plenty of tech upgrades, the 2022 Altima is the Nissan for you!

Nissan Leaf

The 2022 Nissan Leaf will come standard with the CHAdeMO quick-charge port and the portable 240-volt charging cable. On the SV Plus Leaf models, the 360-degree camera and Pro-Pilot Assist technologies will become standard.

For 2022, Nissan has lowered prices on the entire Leaf lineup, making it more cost-effective to get into an electric vehicle.

Bottom line: Nissan’s second-generation Leaf is much improved over the first generation. Its exterior styling is more sophisticated and more refined. The 2022 Leaf also offers more power and responsiveness.

Nissan Maxima

For 2022, the Maxima’s only difference is to the Platinum trim, which gets standard heated rear seats. It is a 99% carryover from 2021, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it gets redesigned or updated in the next few years.

Bottom line: Nissan has been manufacturing the Maxima for four decades and it is a standard full-size sedan for a reason. It offers an upscale interior with plenty of room, and a stylishly sporty exterior with plenty of power to get you where you need to go.

Nissan Z

The 2023 Nissan Z will be Nissan’s eighth Z-car and will be equipped with a 400-hp 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine. With its 1970s inspired exterior styling and ample power, it will truly be the talk of the town when it comes out next year!

Bottom line: The Nissan Z is a sports car you won’t want to miss out on!
