A Look at the Nissan Frontier Hardbody

There are several amazing features that Nissan included on the Hardbody that make it the amazing retro-styled truck that buyers can’t wait to get their hands on.

Wheels

First, the wheel design on the new Hardbody is a replica of the wheels that your Hardbody would have had 20 or 30 years ago. You won’t see anything like them on the road today with their distinctive 3 spoke design.

Graphics Package

Another indication that the Nissan Hardbody isn’t the same as other Nissan Frontiers is the graphics package. On the hood, tailgate, and side door, you’ll see three retro-inspired graphics like the 4 x 4 badging logo on the door, and black accents on the hood and tailgate.

Roll Bar

The Hardbody comes decked out with a black Frontier roll bar, just like the one the original had. The latest iteration is slightly more substantial than its earlier counterparts.

Black Door Handles/Mirrors

Black accents on the mirrors and door handles are meant to be reminiscent of the black plastic you would get on the Hardbody in the 1990s. These features are finished in a gloss finish today instead of a dull finish. We like the look especially as it contrasts with the optional red paint.

Headlights

The feature that puts the Nissan Frontier Hardbody into retro territory is the vintage-styled headlights. Nissan equipped the Hardbody with classic old-school halogens. P.S. You cannot get LED headlights on this version of the Frontier.

Interior

The interior is pretty bare-bones and simple, but sometimes that’s exactly what you’re looking for in a truck, especially a retro-inspired version!

It comes equipped with:

• Comfortable heated cloth seats
• Heated steering wheel
• Classic old-school shift knob
• 2 large dahs gauges
• Small infotainment screen
• Apple CarPlay
• Easy access to climate control

Another classic feature we can’t forget to mention is the foot-mounted manual parking brake.

Performance

Just like the rest of the Hardoby, what’s under the hood is also old school. You’ll find a 3.8 Liter Naturally Aspirated V6 which offers 310 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque.
