Previewing the 2023 Nissan Lineup

Ready to see what’s new for the Nissan lineup in 2023? There is new Nissan news from A to Z! The electric Ariya and the sporty Z are the new vehicles in the lineup for 2023, sitting at the opposite ends of the spectrum, one being an upscale electric SUV and the other being a raw, gas-burning sports car. It is also the end of the road for the Maxima.

Let’s take a look at what other changes are on the horizon for 2023!

2023 Ariya

The all-new 2023 Nissan Ariya, Nissan’s first all-electric crossover SUV, is the perfect partner for road trips and daily commutes alike.

It has an EPA estimated range of up to 304 miles for the Venture+ model and offers powerful acceleration and smooth quiet operation.

Embracing the Japanese term iki, which characterizes the Ariya’s chic cutting-edge design, it is highlighted by the reimagined grille, perfect for the EV era.

Nissan’s redesigned brand logo is placed prominently at the center of the aerodynamic shield, beaming with 20 LEDs that offer crisp definition.

The Ariya features Nissan’s ProPilot 2.0, a new semi-autonomous driving system, and has a starting price of a little over 40k.

2023 Z

Nissan’s iconic Z-car is all new for the 2023 model year. The new Z draws design inspiration from past models but gives a glimpse into the future, with updated technology and a much-needed interior upgrade. Though sold as a hard top, a convertible version could arrive later.

The Z offers a luxurious interior and more desirable styling than older Z concepts. We would recommend the mid-range Z Performance trim, which adds sporty suspension turning, a limited-slip differential, upgraded brakes, 19-inch wheels, and power-adjustable seats with faux-suede upholstery.

2023 Leaf

Nissan’s first electric car receives a few styling improvements for the 2023 model year, including a revised grille, front bumper, and exterior lighting elements. A set of multi-spoke wheels and an illuminated Nissan badge round out the exterior changes.

For 2023, the Leaf lineup has been trimmed down to just the base S model and the longer-range SV Plus.

We recommend the SV Plus as it has the longest driving range, a more powerful electric motor, and an impressive package of standard technology equipment.

2023 Altima

The Altima’s appearance has been updated for 2023 with a redesigned front fascia with new LED headlights and Nissan’s new logo. It also comes equipped with new wheels and two new paint options: Gray Sky Pearl and Garnet Pearl Metallic.

Besides these minor exterior tweaks, the top Altima Platinum trim has been renamed the SL. New standard safety equipment also includes:

• Automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection
• Lane departure warning
• Rear cross-traffic alert
• High-beam assist

Plus, unlike its competitors the Honda Accord and Hyundai Sonata, the Altima offers two features: all-wheel drive and a unique VC-Turbo engine.

2023 Rogue

A new Midnight Edition package is available on the Rogue’s SV trim for 2023. The appearance package adds black trim, badging, and wheels to the Rogue’s exterior, plus black faux-leather upholstery inside to fully black the SUV out.

Platinum Rogue models now include Amazon Alexa voice assistant as a standard feature.

The Rogue Sport will be discontinued in 2023.

2023 Frontier

The Frontier entered its third generation in 2022, so there are only subtle changes for the 2023 model year. Just like the Rogue, it now has a Midnight Edition appearance package, but only on the crew cab trim. The package includes:

• 17-inch black wheels
• Black exterior mirrors
• Other darkened accents throughout

The SV Crew Cab with the long bed now gets the SV Convenience package as standard. This package includes a heated leather steering wheel, heated front seats, under-rail bed lighting, and a spray-in bed liner.

Wireless Apple CarPlay is standard on the PRO-X and PRO-4X trims and Lava Red contrast stitching in the Pro Premium package.

2023 Pathfinder

Nissan has added the Rock Creek model to the Pathfinder lineup for 2023 which offers a slightly lifted suspension, 19=8-inch all-terrain tires, a revised front grill and lower bumper, and all-wheel drive. The Rock Creek’s interior is different from the regular Pathfinder, with special cloth and vinyl upholstery, orange stitching, and Rock Creek badges on the center console and the seats.

2023 Maxima

The end is nigh for the Nissan Maxima in 2023, as it will be the model’s final year. It has been the flagship sedan for Nissan since 1980, but recent model years have not lived up to the sporty image that was established by earlier models.

Other Nissan Models

The Versa and Sentra are both due for a light refresh, while the Titan, Murano, Armada, Kicks, and GT-R continue unchanged for 2023.
