Review Roundup: 2025 Nissan Kicks

If you are searching for a reliable, fun, and cost-effective compact SUV, the 2025 Nissan Kicks should be at the top of your list! With a blend of style, technology, and safety, the Kicks is perfect for families and commuters alike.

At Maus Nissan of North Tampa, we are excited to share what this latest model brings to the table for 2025.

Exterior

For 2025, the Kicks rides on a new platform, making it slightly taller, wider, and about 3 inches longer than the 2024 iteration. It also has a flatter front end with wider fenders. The SR trim has new LED lights and daytime running lights that are replaced with chrome accents on the S and SV models.

A spoiler is featured along the rear, and has black lower cladding to give it a sporty look. On the SR trims, a dimple pattern accents the cladding, making it look like a stylish sneaker. Hence the name, “Kicks.”

Performance

Under the hood, the Kicks is equipped with a 2.0-liter inline-four engine that offers 141 horsepower and 140 pound-feet of torque. It is also paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission called a CVT.

New for 2025 is the optional upgrade to all-wheel drive, perfect for inclement weather. Overall, the new powertrain is much more responsive than the previous iteration and is quick to accelerate when the gas pedal is pressed.

Interior Features

Inside, the cabin is simple and clean. If buyers opt for the SR trim, it comes equipped with two 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreens, and in the base S trim, there are dual 7.0-inch screens. The SV trim has a 7.0-inch digital gauge cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen.

Both wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are offered, except in the base model. Plus, the cabin’s materials are more luxe than ever before, and Nissan even added an ambient light bar that runs from the door panels to the dashboard.

Plus, new to the Kicks for the 2025 model year, are Nissan’s famous “Zero Gravity” seats that come in either cloth or synthetic leather depending on the trim level.

And though this is a smaller compact SUV, cargo space remains generous, which allows for greater flexibility whether you’re heading out for groceries or leaving on a weekend adventure.

Technology

Nissan doesn’t skimp on technology in the 2025 Kicks. The climate control buttons are intuitive and easy to use, and a 10-speaker Bose premium audio system is available on the SR model and comes with speakers in the front headrests.

The top SR trim comes with four USB-C ports and a wireless charging pad is offered on the SV and SR trims.

Safety Features

Safety has always been a top priority for Nissan, and the 2025 Kicks is no exception. It comes with standard driver assistance features including:

  • Blind-spot warning
  • Rear cross-traffic alert
  • Lane departure warning
  • Automatic emergency braking

On the more expensive SR trim, there are enhanced features including lane departure prevention, traffic sign recognition, and oncoming traffic assist. Plus, it also comes equipped with ProPilot Assist, which can take over the steering and braking at low speeds which is a nice feature when you are stuck in stop-and-go traffic!
