Sneak Peek: All-New 2025 Nissan Frontier

The Nissan Frontier has long been a fan favorite in the mid-size truck segment, and the all-new 2025 Nissan Frontier is no exception. With a light styling refresh and some new standard features, we’re excited to see how popular this truck will be in the next year.

2025 Nissan Frontier: What’s New?

Last updated in 2022, the Frontier gets numerous updates for the 2025 model year. Some of the most notable include:

• A small facelift which includes a beefier grille and front bumper
• The maxim tow rating has now increased by 510 points, up to 7150 pounds
• Inside, the Frontier gets a new 12.3-inch infotainment screen, except on the S trim level

But that’s not all, we still have more features and updates to share, including updates to the top-of-the-line Pro-X and Pro 4X models that get new black trim across the tailgate and updated 17-inch wheels that are available in a bright color called Afterburn Orange.

What About Performance?

There were no significant changes to the 2025 Frontier’s powertrain. It still comes with the 3.8-liter V6 engine that produces 310 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque, and it is still paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

It is also available in rear or four-wheel drive.

Fuel Economy

In test drives, the rear-drive 2025 Frontier is rated at 18 mpg when driving in the city and 24 mpg on the highway. The four-wheel drive variant offers 17 mpg in the city and 22 on the highway.

Interior Upgrades

When you get inside the cabin of the 2025 Frontier, you’ll notice that there is a revised dashboard with a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen front and center which is quite larger than the previous 9.0-inch display. This new touchscreen is available on the SV, SL, Pro-X, and Pro-4X only.

Further, a standard four-way power adjustable passenger is included in Pro-X, Pro-4X, and SL models. But Nissan didn’t forget about the S model! It now has a two-way lumbar adjustment for the driver’s seat.

All Frontier trims now come with a standard sliding rear window and an overhead sunglass holder, and the SV model now also has standard 17-inch wheels.

For technology lovers, the premium SL now comes equipped with a wireless phone charger and a surround-view camera. Plus, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included as wireless features, and there are several charging outlets throughout the cabin, including a USB-C port.

Safety Updates

Nissan has also upgraded many of the driver-assistance features that are available across the Frontier range and they now include:

• Lane-departure warning
• Blind-spot warning
• Rear parking sensors
• Adaptive cruise control
