If you are passionate about vehicle safety like our team at Maus Nissan of North Tampa is, then you’ll be interested to know that the 2025 Nissan Rogue is ready for even more adventures with the introduction of Nissan’s ProPilot Assist 2.1 driver assistance technology.
What’s included? Well, keep reading to find out!
What is ProPilot Assist 2.1?
ProPilot Assist 2.1 utilized Google built-in, making it one of the most advanced driver’s assistance features on the market today.
The system allows drivers to take their hands off the steering wheel when driving on a single-lane freeway and will handle acceleration, steering assistance, and braking. Plus, it uses navigation information to adjust the vehicle’s speed when encountering curves and any freeway interchanges. More on that below!
Note: There is a list of ProPilot Assist 2.1-compatible roads that you can find here.
Now, let’s cover a few more features:
Route Assist
When you pre-set your destination, ProPilot Assist 2.1 will alert you when your exit is coming up and when it’s safe to move over to exit. Plus, highway mapping and 360-degree traffic monitoring allow for more precise and smooth driving, no matter the conditions.
Lane Change Assist
You can navigate through lane changes easily with ProPilot Assist 2.1. The system will help you change lanes confidently while both of your hands are on the wheel. Plus, with the easy push of a button, advanced mapping, and traffic data will help you pass any vehicles that are going slower than your preferred cruising speed.
Hands-Off Driving
Though you will still need to pay close attention to the road, you can take your hands off the wheel and your feet off the pedal with ProPilot 2.1. Remember, this is only available when driving on compatible highways.
How does it work? Simple!
- Look for a blue interior light and the icon in the information display.
- These signals let the driver know that you can use hands-off driving
This is all possible due to ProPilot Assist 2.1’s advanced features that control steering, acceleration, and braking. Pretty amazing, right?
