What Makes the 2023 Nissan Z Better Than the Toyota Supra Post

Since its debut, the Nissan Z has garnered great reviews, but how does it stack up against the competition in the sports car market? Specifically, how does it compare to the Toyota Supra, another popular vehicle in the sports car segment?

Though the Toyota Supra hasn’t gotten as much love as the Nissan Z since its launch, it is one of the Z’s main rivals. Which one will come out on top?

Keep reading to learn four things that the Z does better than the Supra!

#1. The Z’s Interior is Top-Notch

The Nissan Z’s interior surpasses the Supra’s in numerous ways. It has a fun interior and a huge 12-inch LCD display gauge cluster with all the information you’ll need while on the road. It even shows you the transmission and engine oil temperature and other exciting features, like the G meter.

The Supra’s gauge cluster is not as strong, it is all fixed unless you use navigation.

Plus, the interior in the Z is another selling point. You can only get a black interior in the Supra, other than an upgraded launch edition. But you can spec out the interior of the Nissan Z, such as a red and black interior. There are plenty of other colors available too.

Interior features in the Z include:

  • Leather upholstery
  • Performance seats
  • Power-adjustable seats
  • Dual-zone automatic climate control
  • 0-inch infotainment display
  • Triple pod cluster
  • Illuminated kick plates
  • Retractable cargo cover
  • Premium carpeted floor mats
  • And more!

Finally, the Z has a ton of visibility inside making it feel like you are in a larger vehicle. The Supra on the other hand feels tiny.

#2. Bigger Cargo Space

The Z also sports a larger trunk than the Supra, making this performance-drive sports car a bit more practical. It even comes with bigger storage in the door areas and center console too.

Next up, the Z gives you a button on the center console and the rear bumper to open the trunk while the Supra gives you a button on the key fob and door panel.

#3. Better Brakes

The Nissan Z comes equipped with an Akebono braking system in the front and matching calipers in the back. The Supra only has Brembo brakes up front, and no performance brakes at the back.

This certainly isn’t a dealbreaker, but matching brakes make the Z look great from front to back.

#4. Pricing

The Z is an affordable sports car coming in at $53,000. But a model with fewer upgraded features would come in at $51,000.

The base Supra is more expensive than the lower-priced Z and doesn’t come with all the tech features and amenities that you get with a Nissan.
