What We Know About The All-New 2025 Nissan Murano

The Nissan Murano has been on the market since 2003, and virtually unchanged since the 2025 model year, this fourth generation for 2025, there are big changes on the horizon for this crossover SUV! With a swept-back roofline that reminds us of the Genesis GV70, and more modern exterior styling overall, our team at Maus Nissan of North Tampa is excited to see what’s in store for this new model year!

Join us as we share what we know about the all-new 2025 Murano, with insights into its possible engine configuration, interior features, and more!

Exterior Looks

The Murano’s exterior has a coupe-like silhouette with features similar to the Ariya EV. The front fascia features split-level LEDs, while lower lights have horizontally stacked DRL elements. At the rear, the Murano has a full-width LED light cluster, creating a clean appearance from behind.

Interior Features

The cabin is where the Murano has received a significant makeover, mirroring Nissan’s new modern vehicle design language.

The dashboard is equipped with a dual-screen setup with a digital instrument cluster and an infotainment system that extends above the center console. Leather with contrasting stitching can be found throughout the cabin, even on the dash.

A tactile power/volume knob has been installed between the air vents, and HVAC controls are mounted slightly below that. We’ve heard that interior technology will include:

  • A heads-up display
  • 170-degree surround camera monitor
  • Built-in Google Maps, Google Assistant, and the Play Store

Performance & Powertrain

The new Murano is still based on the front-wheel-drive D platform, which is also shared with the Nissan Pathfinder. While Nissan has been secretive about the details, it’s been suggested that a turbocharged four-cylinder engine may replace the current 3.5-liter V6 engine.

Also, the Murano will likely come equipped with a nine-speed automatic transmission instead of the current continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Plus, though it hasn’t been confirmed by Nissan, the new E-Power hybrid technology may also be featured in the 2025 Murano.

Release Date

The all-new 2025 Murano is supposed to debut later this year, and the pricing is likely to start in the mid-to-high 30K range.
