What’s New For Nissan Cars In 2025: Sentra, Altima, Leaf and Z
Now that the new year is here, we’re excited to share some of the latest updates coming for Nissan’s 2025 lineup. If you’re in the market for a new car, you’ll want to check out what’s in store for the Sentra, Altima, Leaf, and Z.
Follow along as our team at Maus Nissan of North Tampa shares changes to these vehicles for 2025!
2025 Nissan Sentra
The Sentra received a major update in 2024, so the 2025 model is largely a carryover from the previous model. There are a few small upgrades such as NissanConnect is now available on the SV trim. This package includes MyNissan app control, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and several other features.
Nissan has also included three years of complimentary oil changes for the first 2 years or 24,000 miles of ownership.
2025 Nissan Altima
For the 2025 Altima, Nissan has discontinued the VC-Turno engine option, which makes the 2.5-liter inline-four-cylinder engines the only option.
A new package, the SV Special Edition, has been added and it adds features such as:
- A rear spoiler
- 17-inch gloss black alloy wheels
- Illuminated kick plates
- Dual-zone climate control
- Single-panel moonroof
Also included with this package is a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, and wireless phone charging.

2025 Nissan Leaf
The Leaf is unchanged from the 2023 iteration where it got a full makeover. The changes included a fresh front end, 17-inch wheels, reshaped tire deflectors, and a new diffuser and spoiler.
The lineup was trimmed down to just the S and SV models as well.
2025 Nissan Z
For 2025, there aren’t any major updates to report for the Nissan Z. There are talks that a special edition could be in the works though. In 2024, the Nissan Z got Amazon Alexa digital assistant as a standard feature.
The Heritage Edition was also a new addition for 2024. This edition celebrates the coupe’s 55th anniversary and includes a six-speed manual transmission, or a nine-speed automatic, as well as a mechanical limited-slip rear differential. Plus, it comes equipped with Nissan’s Performance brake package.
The NISMO model was also new for 2024, with more aggressive styling, stiffer suspension, and larger brakes. This iteration comes with a red-themed interior, suede Recaro seats, and NISMO badging throughout.
