What’s New in the 2023 Nissan Titan

What

Though there are many out there on the market, the thing about pickup trucks is that they aren’t made the same. They might come equipped with big bumpers, tall tires, massive grills, and a bed that you could stack sheetrock in, but are they worth it?

The full-size Nissan Titan IS worth it and has the best-in-class warranty among its competitors and is the only non-domestic truck that offers a powertrain with eight cylinders.

Built for heavy-duty work, the 2023 Titan is a force to be reckoned with. Here’s what is new for 2023!

What’s New for 2023?

There are just a few equipment changes to the Titan for 2023. The Pro-4X and Platinum Reserve models now come standard with wireless Apple CarPlay. Nissan also reintroduced the Midnight Edition package for the crew-cab SV models. This package adds black exterior and interior styling, as well as black 20-inch wheels.

Trim Levels

The 2023 Titan comes in four trims:

  • S
  • SV
  • Pro-4X
  • Platinum Reserve

The Pro-4X and Platinum trims are only available with a crew cab configuration.

Performance

The Titan comes with a single engine and transmission combo. It is equipped with a 5.6-liter V8 that produces 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. It is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The Titan, though made for off-roading and ruggedness, offers great handling and ride quality.

The Titan Pro-4X swaps the stock shocks for an off-road set that is better suited for rough roads, though they are slightly stiffer than some rivals.

The Titan also gets hill start assist and an active brake-actuated limited-slip differential, and the upgraded Pro-4x adds hill descent control and a locking rear differential.

The Titan can tow up to 9660 pounds.

Fuel Economy

The 2023 Titan is estimated to earn up to 21 mpg on the highway and 16 mpg in the city. The four-wheel drive version gets 1 mpg less.

Interior & Cargo

The Titan is impressive with a quiet cabin and a standard set of outrageously comfortable Zero Gravity front seats. The most premium materials are reserved for the Platinum Reserve trim.

When it comes to cargo, the Titan has one of the best systems in the business. Every Titan comes with a spring-assisted tailgate for easy use and innovative add-ons like a unique bed-channel system with discreet in-bed cargo boxes.

The Titan’s bed lengths are based on cab size:

  • 6 feet for the extended cab
  • 6 feet for the crew cab

Infotainment and Technology

Every 2023 Titan has an 8.0-inch touchscreen that includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capabilities. A larger 9.0-inch touchscreen is available on higher trims.

Both interfaces support the latest NissanConnect infotainment software.

The Titan also comes with wireless charging for smartphones, a mobile hotspot, a Fender audio system, and several charging ports.

Safety Features

The Titan offers ample standard driver-assistance technology and upgrades like the 360-degree camera, a motion-detector system, and more.

Key Safety features include:

  • Standard automated emergency braking
  • Available blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert
  • Available adaptive cruise control
  • Automatic emergency braking
  • Lane departure warning
  • Automatic high beams
  • Driver attention monitoring

Titan SV models add adaptive cruise control and parking sensors, and still, upper trims throw in hill descent control and a surround-view camera system.
